Life is good. But Michigan's governor isn't. Granholm wants to release 7,500 prison inmates and close five state prisons... loss of both public safety and much-needed jobs. New unemployed workers will live off of government welfare if she gets her way... all in the name of budget cuts. Not a very good thing at all. But in general, my personal life is going very well.

At the irritating cousin's house

I have been spending the labor day weekend at my cousin's house. They live on a lake but we can't swim because their access is prohibited by their selfish ratty neighbors, the Long's. On the bright side, I got a new typewriter yesterday, It's a Royal Arrow from approximately 1939. had toasted cheese sandwiches for lunch, which were good.

Daisy the deer hasn't come back to Paula & Steve's house in three months. I am assuming that she has grown up and will be starting a family next spring. Down at the creek, we saw a dead fawn that looked no more than three weeks old under wawter. I think it must have drowned.\

We got a new cat, found down at the creek behind the guardrail, where someone dropped him off. He was scared to death, and you can't just leave a kitten of his age (8-9 weeks) alone, so we took him home. His name is Shadow Max Beland (Ever heard of Shadowfax, Gandalf's horse in the Lord of the Rings?).

"The weather's been hot, humid, and cloudy these past 3 days, and I have forgotten what it was like to see the sun. The parching thirst can only be quenched by licking the air, which is not awfully convenient." This sad fact has lead me to say that I am glad that this little story is not true, except for the three days weather. Just thought I'd be creative after how many months of non-blogging.

What a world this place we call home has come to (For better or worse)! The center-right's have come to power in the EU parliament, which is good, but not good enough. Nothing very good ever came from those who made too many compromises. Look at Mr. B. H. Obama, I am sure he won't get re-elected, he is loosing support.

Weather And Politics

These two topics are probably the most discussed in our nation, at least that's what I think. First off: the weather here has been nice and not so nice. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, we saw beautiful 70 degree weather. Now, On Sunday and Monday, there has been rain, clouds, and a general temperature of about 50. Now, for the politics. Mr. B. H. Obama has defied all logic once more. Yes, he warmly greeted Mr. Hugo Chavez, who is supposed to be an enemy of the U.S. he has made some obviously Anti-American statements during his reign in Venezuela. Chavez

Grover Cleveland knew what he meant when he said: 'Though people should support the government, the government should not support the people." If only Barack H. Obama would take that idea and run! If somebody is poor, you shouldn't give them money to live on. This only encourages laziness, so there is no need to even try to work for your living.

By now, if you are reading this blog, you most likely know that I am far-right in politics and an overall strong Republican. The world't problems can't all be solved by initiating uselesss "talks" with your enemies. Strong action needs to be taken.

The Great Dictator

I just finished watching "The Great Dictator" which is a B & W movie by Charlie Chaplin. It isn't a silent, you can hear him speak! It was a great movie: sort of a joke or satire on Hitler's NAZI Germany. In the movie, Adenoid Hynkel, the dictator of Toumania, does pretty much everything the Real Hitler did in real life during the first year of WWII, exept it was really funny! It all ended with a happy ending, without having to go through 6 years of war.

Obama's Spending Spree

It's been a month and I have plenty to say. Right after Obama passed his new spending bill, he went right on to his next one, a 58 Billion dollar bailout for home owners who's houses are foreclosed. Yes, in this economy that happens, but these people should be responsible enough to buy a house affordable enough so that if they lose their job for six month's they can still pay the mortgage. But, not our dear government has to interfere once again. I am starting to believe that Barack Hussein Obama is an unconstitutional leader. He will not be highly esteemed by the media (and the general public) by the end of his first and final term.

Israel in Gaza: Follow up

I was disappointed when I heard that Israel is withdrawing their troops. This reminds me of where the Bible says that the ruler of this world is the devil, and the Jews were God's first people. So... the Israelis are most likely going to have the Arabs as enemies until Christ's return.

I just got my OS X panther CD in the mail today! It came much sooner than the allotted 7-11 days! I guess this is just some more praise for Apple's great customer service. If you are reading this, and are using Windows, I suggest you try a Mac out. An iMac G3 with OS X Tiger can be found on eBay for as little as $60.

I called Apple's toll-free number for AppleCare, 1800-275-2273, and requested a set of OS X Panther discs for my iMac. Their service was quick and polite. I now have the missing install disc! They charged me $24.38 for the Disc 1, which is only the Operating System. Disc 2 was available for the same price, but I passed that one up. I was relieved to know that I wouldn't have to go eBaying again to try to find what I needed! Visit www.apple.com/support Thanks, Apple for the great service. Thats all folks.

Israel and Gaza

When I first heard that Israel had invaded Gaza, I thought "Yes! They finally did it!" They had been needing to invade Gaza for quite some time, to put Hamas under control. When I learned that they may be increasing troop numbers, I was even more proud that the US is their only ally. The Arabs in Israel need to be removed and the Israelis given back their homeland.

AM Radio Transmitter

I just discovered a kit that you can build that will legally transmit your voice, CDs, tapes, etc over AM radio legally without a license! It is pretty neat, because the transmitter works for up to 1/4 of a mile. The kit costs $30 plus shipping and is called the Vectronics VEC-1290K. I have not yet bought it, but I may someday.

I hope you all have had a great Christmas! I recently found out about the very first Macintosh laptop-type computer. It was a legal clone from Dynamac, a company now out of business. It weighed over 16 pounds and had a gas plasma screen. It was like a Mac Plus in a laptop form, although it weighed almost the same. Here is a link to more info from DigiBarn. I can now say that I have installed yet another operating system on my computer. Windows NT Workstation 4.0. Soon, I will have installed (at different times) every major version of Windows except Vista. You can find some old Windows downloads at PC Abandonware and the actual Windows itself at OS Abandonware. That's it, That's All, and That's enough!

Obamania

Obamania is ravaging our nation. "Spreading the wealth" is, in more literal terms, Fascism and Socialism (National Socialism, to be exact). I heard on a BBC interview of an Argentine farmer who is living with this "Wealth spreading" where the government takes money away from the rightfully prosperous people who worked hard to get their money, and give it to poor people, who, many of which could exit the poor zone if they worked hard and didn't live off welfare. Just a closing thought now: For those who don't know, National Socialism is NAZI. Ever heard of Adolph Hitler? By the way, look up "Hitler and Obama" on Google and you will find tons of true info on their parallels. Signing off now...

Something strange that I like to do is install operating systems. This might sound strange, but I do it for enjoyment. I like to install different versions of an OS to compare them. Not all at the same time, thankfully! Here is a list of the OS'es that I have installed at different times on my HP Pavilion: Win XP Home, Win XP Pro, Win 98SE, Win 98, Win 95, Win 3.11, Ubuntu 8, and DOS 7.1! I plan to install the following at some time: Win NT 4, Win 2.04, Win 1, DOS 6.22, and Kubuntu 8. I also installed Redhat Linux on my old Compaq Deskpro. That is a lot of hard disk formatting and setup time spent! All for enjoyment, strangely.

Did you know that MS Internet Explorer actually opens your computer up for viruses? It has many security holes, and a website can access your computer more easily with IE. Guess why! This is so Microsoft can access your computer when you log onto their website! I recommend Firefox ( Newest version is 3.0.4) if you have a Windows computer, and Camino (Newest version is 1.6.5) if you have a Mac. Camino is like Firefox made especially for the Mac and works better. I truly hope that you will try out a new browser if you still use IE 7, or other versions.

National Debt

A few days ago, I learned that the national debt of the United States was increased by 2,000,000,000,000 dollars from the bailouts! That is not a typo! Two trillion dollars is almost three times the amount spent on the entire Iraq War. Is it really that necessary to put such a burden on our children and grandchildren? The politicians obviously think so, but I, on the other hand, do not.

An Opportunity

A great thing that happened to me about a month ago was the opportunity to pet a live wild deer. It was about half a year old, and was coming to a friends house. My cousins named her Daisy. As of today, Daisy still is coming to their house and eating out of their hand. Not many people can say they pet and fed a real wild deer.

I was just looking on the web and found this neat web site on setting up your own low-power FM radio station that can broadcast a few miles and requires no license. The link to the Support Low Power FM Radio is a good thing to check out whether or not you plan to set one up. I have always though that that was a neat Idea and plan to set one up some day. For a radio station, you will need audio sources (tape players, CD
players, microphones, etc.), an audio mixer, a transmitter, a coaxial
cable (usually RG-8 or RG-58/U) to carry the signal from your

BBC and Obama

I am not looking forward to an Obama presidency one bit. Our national debt will only be increased, not that I particularly like Mr. Bush either! On the BBC, I like to hear them pronounce Barack Obama's name! It sounds quite strange! It is hard to describe in words. It seems that the media is CRAZY about him, and will follow like sheep whereever he leads, good or bad.

This mock election began around the beginning of November, and the polls show Kenaniah Ressler, my candidate, in the lead with 30 of 40 votes. Cody Sanger, the main opposition has 8 of 40 votes, and Jonathan Ressler has 2 of 40. The final poll will be held after Thanksgiving.
